privacy policy
Last updated: March 2026
This policy describes how KINORO LIMITED (company number SC802715) (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you use kinoro.co.uk (the “website”) and when you submit the request-access form.
This information is provided for general transparency. It is not legal advice. If you need advice for your situation, you should speak to a solicitor or other qualified adviser.
who we are
We are the data controller for personal information processed as described here. Contact: genna@kinoro.co.uk.
what we collect
When you browse the website: We do not use cookies on this website for our own purposes (see Cookies and similar technologies below).
When you use the request-access form: You may provide:
- Full name
- Email address
- Organisation (e.g. school name)
- Your role
- Free-text context describing how Kinoro might help
- Whether you request a call or wish to join the mailing list
- Whether you consent to email marketing (required if you choose the mailing list)
We also receive a server-side timestamp when your submission is recorded.
how we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and, if you asked for a call, to arrange a discovery conversation
- If you joined the mailing list and consented, to send you news and updates by email
- To keep an internal record of interest in Kinoro
We do not sell your personal information.
lawful bases (UK GDPR)
Depending on what you submit, we rely on:
- Legitimate interests — to handle access requests and follow up in line with what you asked for, and to keep a proportionate record of enquiries
- Consent — where you opt in to email marketing (mailing list)
where data is stored
Your form submission is sent securely from your browser to our hosting provider, then forwarded to a Google Sheet via Google Apps Script, so Google processes that data on our behalf. Analytics page-view data is processed by Simple Analytics. These providers act as processors under our instructions. Personal data may be processed outside the UK; where that happens, we use appropriate safeguards recognised under UK law (such as standard contractual clauses) where required.
retention
We keep enquiry and mailing-list related information only for as long as needed for those purposes or as required by law, then delete or anonymise it in line with our internal practices.
security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No online transmission or storage is completely secure.
your rights
Under UK data protection law you may have rights including access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability, and the right to withdraw consent where we rely on consent. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
cookies and similar technologies
We do not set cookies on this website for our own analytics, advertising, or personalisation. You should not see a first-party cookie banner from us for that reason.
We use Simple Analytics to collect basic, aggregated statistics (for example page views and referring sites) in a privacy-oriented way. Simple Analytics does not use cookies for this service in the way many analytics products do. For their practices, see simpleanalytics.com/privacy.
changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date will change when we do.
